The Ritual
Performance & Usage Guide
To experience the true depth, longevity, and projection of your Scents of Exile composition, we highly recommend following our professional application rituals. Fragrance is an art, and how you wear it defines how it speaks.
01. The Olfactory Evaluation
Because our refund policy is strictly tied to performance, it is crucial to evaluate your fragrance accurately during the 3-day testing window:
- The Application: Apply a generous 13 to 18 sprays directly onto your pulse points (neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows) to generate sufficient body heat.
- The Evolution: Allow the fragrance to settle and "dry down" for a minimum of 60 minutes. The true character, sillage, and heart notes of our concentrated oils only reveal themselves after interacting with your skin's chemistry.
- The Sillage Test: Avoid pressing your nose directly against your skin. Instead, walk into a room and ask those around you if they can perceive the scent trail. True projection is measured by the aura you leave behind.
02. The Cardinal Rule: Never Rub
The most common mistake in fragrance application is rubbing the wrists together. Friction generates excessive heat that crushes the delicate top notes and drastically alters the intended timeline of the scent. Simply spray, and let the liquid naturally absorb into your skin.
03. Strategic Placement
For an unforgettable projection, target areas where blood vessels are closest to the skin:
- Primary Zones: The sides of the neck and directly behind the earlobes.
- Secondary Zones: The inner elbows and wrists.
- The Professional Secret: To maximize longevity, apply a few sprays to your clothing (preferably natural fibers like cotton or wool). Fabric holds scent molecules far longer than skin.
04. Preservation & Storage
Scents of Exile uses high concentrations of delicate oils. To protect the integrity of your bottle for years to come:
- Keep the bottle in a completely cool, dark environment.
- Never store your perfume in the bathroom; high humidity and rapid temperature fluctuations will rapidly degrade the oils.
- Direct sunlight is the natural enemy of fine fragrance. Keep the bottle inside its original packaging if exposed to light.
